This is a dry or wet rub I came up with during my engagement. We tried several variations on beef ribs and this one was the winner. Charcoal powder and Mesquite smoke can be hard to find, but well worth it. You will love it on Brisket, Pulled Pork or any kind of Ribs!   • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp Mesquite Smoke Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder (substitute with Minced Garlic for a wet rub)
  • 2 Tbsp Mustard Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Ancho Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp of Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper (substitute with African Bird Pepper for a hotter more exotic taste)
  • 1/8 Tbsp Charcoal Powder



Mix ingredients together in a mixer or pour in blender and add a 1/8 cup of olive oil and 1/8 cup soy sauce for a wet rub.

Yield: Enough for a brisket

Time: 20 minutes
