TooLow’s Chicken Fried Venison

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

This is good good good. The breading sticks and it’s super tender. Try it for yourself! I recommend Kenny Fred’s deer processing for the tenderized butterflied back strap. This is key!

  • 4 Tenderized Butterflied Venison Back Strap
  • 2 cups Seasoned Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1.2 cup Flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Milk
  • Vegetable Oil

Marinate the back strap in salt, pepper and milk for 3-4 hours.
Add the flour, salt, pepper and breadcrumbs in a gallon bag for the breading and shake.

Whisk milk and eggs into a bowl. Dip the back strap in the bowl.
Add the back strap into the bag of breading and shake.

Fire up a skillet with vegetable oil on medium to high heat. Once hot, fry each back strap for about 4-5 minutes a side or until golden brown.

Remove and let sit on paper towel on plate to cool. Enjoy!
